Pre-Contract Services
- Preparation of a Budget Estimate
- Preparation of a Cost Plan
- Preparation of Tender Documents
- Preparation of addenda to the Tender Documents
- Preparation of a pre tender estimate
- Evaluation of the commercial aspects of Tenders received and reporting thereon together with recommendations
- Preparation of a Letter of Acceptance
Post Contract Services
- Checking that the Contractor complies with its insurance obligations under the Construction Contract provided that the wording of the policies of insurance shall be checked and approved by the Employer’s insurance brokers
- Providing cost reports to the Employer at such intervals as may be requested by the Employers
- Advising the Employer and the Engineer on cost and contract matters generally including estimates of the cost of proposed Variation Orders
- Assist the Employer to draft Variation Orders where so instructed by the Employer
- Establishing the value of Variation Orders, obtaining the approval of the Employer and achieving agreement with the Contractor
- Checking advance, interim and final payment applications received from the Contractor, adjusting as necessary and making recommendations to the Engineer for payment certification purposes
- Administration of Provisional Sum expenditure
- Re-measure and pricing the works (where applicable), obtaining the approval of the Employer and the Engineer and achieving agreement with the Contractor
- Checking the Final Account submitted by the Contractor, adjusting as necessary and making recommendations to the Engineer and the Employer
- Reviewing the non-technical content of guarantees and warranties submitted by the Contractor and reporting thereon to the Employer and the Engineer
- Contribution to feedback reviews including analysis of Final Account.
